High-quality functional packaging is part of our area of expertise, and has been for over 85 years. At LESER, we treat your products as what they are - individual and promising.

Every young brand that is starting to produce jewellery and offer it on the market, or that is already successfully marketing its products, knows one thing for sure: Today, there is no way around Instagram and other social media platforms. Because that's where you meet the target group that is ready to buy and that needs to be made aware of your own rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces by means of unique content. In addition to an appealing online presentation and excellent customer support, start-ups also need very simple things that can make a decisive contribution to a positive customer experience. This also includes appropriate jewellery packaging, which is necessary for secure shipping, but which also creates the first impression. And first impressions count and are the most memorable. This is precisely what we at LESER are already dealing with in the fourth generation. In Lahr in the Black Forest, we develop and produce high-quality jewellery packaging for start-ups and young social media brands that want to successfully market their products. Here you can find an overview of our solutions, how a jewellery packaging can look like in accordance with the requirements of your product.

Tips for young jewellery brands

Jewellery packaging for start-ups should first and foremost be functional, appealing and affordable. Here are important approaches for budding brands looking for suitable jewellery packaging:

  1. Budget: Start-ups should set a budget that fits their needs and possibilities. For example, a low-cost option could be a plain paper jewellery bag printed with the logo.
  2. Target group: It is important to define your own target group and determine what type of jewellery is to be packaged. Here, the packaging design plays a crucial role in choosing a jewellery packaging that is best tailored to the characteristics of the jewellery, but also responds to the needs of the target group. After all, the target group of jewellery for everyday use tends to prefer simple and practical packaging, while one of high-priced jewellery would prefer more luxurious packaging.
  3. Branding: Packaging should reflect the jewellery brand and fit the corporate identity. For customisation, colours, patterns and logos can be used to create personalised jewellery packaging.
  4. Materials: The material of the jewellery packaging can vary and depends on the needs of the jewellery brand. For example, an inexpensive option could be paper bags or jewellery pouches, an environmentally friendly option could be jewellery boxes made from recycled or biodegradable materials, while exclusive jewellery cases offer a classy but also elaborately manufactured alternative.
  5. Practical aspects: Jewellery packaging should be functional and protect the jewellery. With the help of practical inserts, jewellery can also be transported, stored and kept safely.

It is important to note that a start-up's jewellery packaging does not have to be perfect to be successful. However, it is important to choose packaging that fits your brand and meets the needs of your potential clientele.

Jewellery packaging in small quantities

Especially at the beginning of their business activities, many young brands naturally do not need large quantities of packaging for the time being. They need to calculate tightly and orientate themselves in the area of packaging first. In our stock range you will therefore find many jewellery packaging that are already available in small quantities and can still be branded with your own branding.

For packaging without individual finishing, the minimum order value is €100. For packaging with printing, the minimum order value is €200. The cost for the production of a printing cliché is €25 and the printing per jewellery box is €0.10. Below you will find some examples.

0830 CASE

Our modern slipcase boxes from the 0830 CASE series are available from us in packaging units of 30 pieces each and can be finished to a particularly high standard, especially with grey hot foil embossing. We offer the boxes in 3 different sizes and they are equipped with a foam insert and another foam cover. You can discover the CASE series in the shop here: Series 0830 CASE.

0120 ELEMENT

Our jewellery boxes of the 0120 ELEMENT series do not need any punched inserts at all - and are therefore suitable for packaging a wide variety of jewellery pieces due to the wadding used as an insert. We have the series in 6 sizes in blue in our assortment. You can also find the series in our online shop: Series 0120 ELEMENT.

0150 RECYCLE

The topic of "sustainability" is currently on everyone's lips. Young brands and their consumers are placing increasing value on sustainable products. In order to design sustainable packaging, it often makes sense to give materials a second life cycle. The jewellery packaging of our 0150 RECYCLE series consists of 100% recycled materials. The body as well as the cover paper and the foam insert are made of recycled material. We currently have the recycling packaging in stock in 2 colours and 4 sizes, in packaging units of 50 pieces each. You can find more information about the series here: Recycling packaging.

0230 PLAIN

In 6 sizes, they are waiting to be customised with your logo and used directly to sell your jewellery. You can discover the colours, formats & possibilities right here in the shop: Series 0230 PLAIN.

Change of packaging supplier

We have noticed one thing in particular about the online distribution of jewellery: Many young brands and start-ups simply lack careful consultation on the part of their packaging suppliers. This often results in problems with the procurement of packaging or delivery difficulties. Even if a packaging solution already exists, many young brands are therefore well advised with a change of packaging supplier. The advantages with LESER:

✅ Experience in the industry since 1937

✅ Production in Germany: short supply chains and flexibility

✅ Production in the Far East: wide range at very competitive prices

✅ International sourcing opportunities

✅ Fast deliveries & fair prices

✅ Full service provider: also packaging & shipping logistics

Do you have questions about our services or are you looking for a new producer for your jewellery packaging? Then simply contact us! We will provide you with a non-binding consultation and, in most cases, a suitable packaging solution.

Individual jewellery packaging

In addition to the jewellery boxes in our standard range, you also have the option of having your desired packaging developed and produced entirely according to your individual ideas. The design possibilities here are virtually endless and production can be automated at our site in Lahr from around 2,000 pieces. You basically have to decide on a suitable solution for 4 points here: the format, the cover paper, the embossing and the packaging insert.

Formats

On the subject of formats, there is of course one thing to say first: ideas and requirements vary greatly. Nevertheless, there are some formats, especially in the jewellery sector, that have proven themselves and are therefore used again and again. We can usually produce individual jewellery packaging in these formats from a quantity of around 1,000 pieces:

  • 40 x 40 x 18 mm
  • 50 x 50 x 30 mm
  • 60 x 60 x 22 mm
  • 80 x 80 x 22 mm
  • 158 x 158 x 25 mm

Cover papers

The choice of coating paper is a decisive point on the way to individual jewellery packaging. Because it is already at this point that you make the choice about the colouring and structural nature of the surface of the boxes. In short, the possibilities here are virtually endless. Simply talk to us about your wishes or get a brief overview here: Cardboard boxes & cases.

Embossing

Embossing is the most common and highest-quality way of refining jewellery packaging and at the same time turning it into your brand ambassador. Depending on the quality of the cover paper, it is possible to emboss logos as well as filigree lettering. Contact us for a non-binding consultation on our embossing options!

Inserts

Packaging inserts give your jewellery support through various punchings, put it in the right light and prevent transport damage. Due to its properties, foam in particular is a suitable solution for jewellery, but we also have other options here. Below you will find a few possibilities:

  • Foam inserts
  • Recycled foam
  • Cardboard inserts
  • Jewellery cotton

Packaging & Shipping Logistics

Especially with start-ups, however, we have noticed that packaging is not limited exclusively to the development and production of jewellery packaging. Because some other processes can also be outsourced very efficiently. As a full service provider, we therefore also offer our customers the option of taking over services in packaging and shipping logistics. You can find more information on the above points here: Contract Production. If you have any questions, you can also contact us at any time via our contact form.

"Bottom part in lid" or "lid on bottom part"?

Did you actually know that, especially for individual projects, we can also supply our packaging with "bottom part in lid"? This means that we can also supply your boxes with the lid under the base part! This saves an important step and makes the packaging process in your company much more efficient.
